i have been back and forth looking for a decent COMPLETE cat food and i am really confused.

reading other forums some say Sheba is rubbish. my fussy cat will eat this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sheba-Pouches-Selection-12x85g-Total/dp/B003UF0ZDY
is this really rubbish?
also she will only eat fish and i have been told by a vet nurse that this is not good for them

some people say they feed their cats a high meat diet but these are usually applaws and hi-life which are complementary, not complete.

any recommendations please [and not raw, already tried that and she spat it out], preferably not from the internet as you have to buy in bulk and my cat being fussy she is likely to turn her nose up.

thanks :)

ps Royal Canin always get mentioned but she wouldnt eat it. i will try it again though

  • Most HiLife is complete cat food. They do make some complementary ones, though.

My cat sometimes has hilife pouches which are complete, we bought our last lot from home bargains for 29p per pouch.
  • I'm afraid if some are saying Sheba is carp but Royal Canin is good then they have no idea what they're talking about!

The following are available from the supermarket / PAH etc, are a reasonable cost and are grain free:

    Sheba Terrine Fushion*
    Sheba Fine Flakes*
    Butchers Classic
    Butchers Really Meaty
    Butchers Really Fishy

*can be expensive at full price but there are frequently offers at £3.50/£4 per box or 3 for £10 etc

If you have Mr T, they have started selling Lily's (which is made by Lily's Kitchen but apparently a slightly different recipe)

There are obviously others (hi-life, encore, feline fayre etc) but these are more expensive but worth adding to a rotation of brands
    Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
    2016 Sell: £125/£250
    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!

    feline fayre 19p.

I was in a big Mr T earlier & they had boxes of 40 pouches (usual price £12) on offer at 2 boxes for £15

About 18p so not bad :)

i have come to the conclusion that it is best not to read much and go with gut instinct :)
my cat will eat the Sheba fine flakes and at 50g per sachet they are better for her as she puts on weight quickly.

i just found some Purina sachets in Poundstretcher but on reading the ingredients found they contain "various sugars" which i think is unnecessary so didnt buy them.

i have had someone order some Bozita from Zooplus, but as she is fussy it might be a waste of money, but at least the RSPCA will benefit when i donate them! :D

i thought Encore wet was complementary?

Sheba Fine Flakes and Terrine Fusion have been on offer in Tesco for the last couple of weeks - £3.50 for a box of 12 pouches. Not sure if it's still on but might be worth a look.
