Help with paying off debt

hi everyone

so i have a quick question - i have debts to a total of £4700 - all are defaulted - totally defaulted - my score is 383 on experian :( - now i have gotten older i want to clear these debts off and was planning to save for 5 months to do this.

i want to know about orders of paying them off- and i also seen that paying some debts off in total can make your score worse (i know mines is really bad already)

any advice - dont want something that is going to tie me down for 3 years - i am keen to pay them off - also when would my credit start to improve?

thanks

Credit SCORES are meaningless, it's just how the companies score you, but as they don't lend you money, who cares - what counts is what your file shows which includes defaults - these will not drop off your file for 6 years so regardless of what Experian score you, lenders would see the data itself and judge as they see fit.

Your credit rating (as in how an actual lender would see you) will be better with settled debts or in x number of years when the defaults disappear.

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
