Unless I've misunderstood the OP (rather than the hijacker) is comparing the price (£18k) of an ex-demo car with the salemans suggested price (£22k) of the equivalent brand new car0 -

I'm happy to report that I have reached a resolution and I have accepted compensation of £500, plus a Mini trolley case :rotfl:
The manager was apologetic and keen to keep my custom.
I may not have entered into sales negotiations had I have been told the true facts regarding the car's value, but at the end of the day I have got a car that I love and feel I can return to the dealership without any bad feeling.0
