Next Boxing Day Sale

Options
Well i'm a bit early but thought you might be interested.

If you follow the stock market, you may have seen that Next had to issue a profits warning due to lower than expected sales caused by the weather being to warm.

So stockrooms and warehouses are bulging at the seams with unsold stock. We have been told to take on double the amount of temp staff as the sale is going to be the biggest since 2007.

So get saving

I can't think of anything worse than trekking off to Next (or firing up the laptop) at the crack of dawn on Boxing Day. Or any day really.

Me either, I would love to be tucked up in bed, nursing my post christmas hangover, but instead i will be up at 4 to be ready for the hoards of people at 5am.

Just remember don't expect great customer service on boxing day, we will either be hungover or wanting to be back in bed.

  • All stores are having this issue. Too much stock and not enough room in the stockroom because it isn't selling.

This years sale units are going to be over triple last year. Makes a change from walking in to the stores at 9:00AM and seeing all the sale stock gone.

Crumbs, I am only just coping with having to listen to Christmas carols in the supermarket without thinking about shopping on Boxing Day.
    It is only November!!

At 4.30am last year we had about 150 people in the queue, as we opened at 5 we had to start restricting people coming in as we were full to capacity.
