It's not a big deal: you could always convert to nectar and then buy Amazon from Sainsbury using your nectar (that's what I did when Amazon were missing from their reward list). The rate is the same as far as I can remember.

I thought Nectar stopped allowing Amazon voucher redemptions a while ago?

It sounded like they said they were buying physical amazon vouchers from Sainsburys using nectar points, not making a nectar redemption.
