Larder unit converted to Tall Oven Housing...possible?

Hi all.
Being a tightwad :j I have a tall larder unit already in my kitchen; (600mm w x 565mm d). The interior obviously has a hard board back piece which makes the unit interior (571mm w x 505 d) (height is not the issue)
My question is can I reliably convert this to a double oven housing? Wickes etc seem to sell the units as Tall oven/larder units but when I try to look at the fitting instructions for any appliances they usually specify the unit to be 562mm w exact x 550mm minimum d for the cavity.
Logic tells me that I need to leave a space for heat at the back (should get 60mm if I cut the back board) but I cant ascertain if the fitting instructions are a guideline or a requirement.
I know i'll need to make a safe flooring point to support the cooker but i'm not sure if this can be retro fitted to a unit as there doesn't seem to be any pilot holes routed in the original cabinet.
Additionally every supplier of double ovens gives varying sizes for the same model: ao one size & Currys another?
The manufacturers manual gives no sizes of the appliance whatsoever, only the size of the hole they would like it to sit in and thats as clear as mud!
Has anyone else managed to do this (no youtube videos) and if so what did you have to adjust or take into account. Or am I simply trying to fit a square peg in a round hole?!
Thanks in advance

Yes it's more than likely possible - but as you have already worked out you need to remove the back panel where the oven will fit and move the shelves to appropriate places and secure. If it's a dowel and cam construction it's easy, if it's dowel and glue a bit trickier.

Easiest way to do all this is to remove the larder unit from situ, lay it on its face and 'work from behind'.

    You'll also need appropriate doors.

thanks Russ, I can see a few cams on it already so I know they are there. I didn't think to take it out but it makes sense!

If any of you wonderful Money Savvies, (or better still a kitchen fitter) know of any examples I could refer to that would be amazing!!
