  • hi Just to add to the comments.

    I was a size 22-24 and a smoker.

I am now 16 and smoke ecigarettes.

Its possible. Firstly, can I suggest that you visit your docotor. For me, I was engaged and I wanted to lose weight so badly but it was always I will start this tomorrow, monday etc. I didn't think it was possible to try and reduce spending whilst also dropping the pounds!

however, I now use a local market and pick up so much fruit and veg for such a small price its crazy. Also, if you are happy too, make your own fizzy drinks like suggested above.

Moving to ecigs was amazing. I cannot believe the money saved, the health benefits and now I spent just £13 a month on my habit, which for me helps! it de-stresses me, and helps me with my weight loss.

However also like you I needed to make loads of changes at once. That is always very hard. Therefore, perhaps tackle one at a time. Start with the ecigs, then move onto dealing with the fizzy drinks as it seems you spend more on them.

But most of all, know we are all here to support and cared. Keep strong and good luck. x

With the fizzy drinks, or any drinking habits.

One thing I think people overlook is the fluid intake.

You kind of get used to it so if you just stop you not only get a craving for the thing you were drinking but also just fluids.

So one approach is to not stop the pop but to start drinking something else as well, water is probably the best one, always have some water around and drink loads of it, maybe some milk or tea or add a bit of squash to the water to give some variety.

Feeling full from other stuff might reduce the desire to go for the pop all the time

I think the ecig is the way to goes these days but I remeber when I stopped(many years ago) I found I was eating and drinking more for quite some time so watch for that as you cut back.

One other thing, if the goal is to spend less and get the size down then think really carefully about any clothes you buy and try to use up the stuff you have.

Save the money for the new stuff going forward.

Just a note of caution, although these are a whole lot better than coffin nails, they still contain a fair amount of nicotine, one of the most addictive substances on this planet.
You have done really well to come off the real things, but try not to make the electronic things a lifestyle choice for too long.

These things have not yet been tested long term, and the dangers, if any, are not yet fully understood. :)

  • hi sourcrates I have already started to reduce my nicotine - down from 18mg to 6mg. I do agree that dangers are not truly tested but they have done such a good job with me I am very happy with them!

Plus saved me a fortune, one of my best MSE things!

Try water but flavour it by putting lemon, lime, Strawberry or cucumber slices in it. I don't like cucumber but love Strawberry.

A slice will do several glasses and can do hot or cold drinks.

    Cheap and low calorie.

    Hope this helps

I'm surprised your butcher charges for bones; mine gives them away. Perhaps try a different butcher?
