I received a letter dated 20/10/04 stating first issue would be 29/10/04 and first direct debit payment on 20/12/04. Magazine arrived yesterday. The dd has already been set up so immediately cancelled it with the Bank online. Does anyone else do this, I know you are supposed to notify the company but I find just cancelling it with the bank seems to work.

I always cancel online, and a few days later I get a very nice letter from the company telling me my DD has been cancelled and hope they can be of help sometime in the future.

I got my tony and guy set of hair products from the cosmo hair and beauty mag today. The dd was just taken off today as well, so they must have posted it off before they took the money.

Nice products they are as well.

i did that as well with my Wife's Zest subscription, the magazine company had resurrected an old idrect debit, i cancelled it withour realising cos it had a different memebership number... wifey was over the moon with the blooming great box of bubble bath.....
nb i did contact the msubscription people as soon as i realised what i had done... i am waiting for them to try and take a dd... due oon friday
