  • They charged me as I posted a warning earlier!!

I am going to wait & see if OS goodies turn up, if not will make full complaint about this.

I'd call it fraud or theft charging card details wihtout card holders permission. It is very bad for a national magazine company to be doing this, maybe some bad publicity would make them realise the error of their ways?

I need some proof re original offer, when it says free gift will be dispatched. Hopefully someone still has a copy.
  • I have received my Elemis stuff today from the SHE promotion. I've looked them up on the Elemis site and they are:

    and

Checked my bank statement and they have deducted £22 which is a year's subscription and I only wanted quarterly for £5. Telephoned and the lady said she would refund the £22 and then take the £5. Hopefully this will happen!

Did they send you a confirmation email stating £5.00 subscription price and then take £22 anyway?
  • Hi, just checked my email and it does state £22. I must have made a mistake when I completed the form then, I only subscribed to get the freebie! I obviously need to check very carefully before hitting that final confirm button! Hopefully I can get it changed.

how long did it take you to get the money back?

I am considering contacting Trading Standards but I feel like such a fool.

    What do you think?

Contact trading tandards, at no time was I told £39.60 was being taken from my bank account, it took about 2 weeks in total for it to be retrieved, I thik this is there way at getting at the people who just subscribe for the freebies!

Good luck with the "nice" people.

I was so pleased with the service from Zest that I have just ordered a gift subscription for my daughter who is away at uni. The offer finishes on 7th Feb and if you look a few posts up from here it is worth nearly £40 for £3 ( assuming I have the sense to cancel in time. )

there is a new magazine out called 'essential beauty' , one of those fortnightly things where you build up a collection. i just bought the first one for £1.99- the mag is pretty rubbish but it comes with two lovely eyeliner pencils- double ended and huge so essentially four different colours . it's really good stuff too, i wore it all day yesterday and it didn't smudge at all.
