I don't understand, surely if someone retweets something it wouldn't affect your entry? :undecided

I think promoters only look at rt's of their own original tweet.

When someone retweeted one of my tweets, I went and looked at their account and it showed it as if they had retweeted the original tweet and not mine, if that makes sense.

I have dozens retweet my comps everyday and from when I asked people are winning from retweeting my retweets and I'm still winning even though they have retweeted me.

I'm in a small group where we actively retweet each others retweets and we all have had wins come in from doing that.

Also companies ask you to retweet so the company has more exposure and reach amongst your followers, with someone retweeting what you have retweeted from the company lets the company see that their name is being spread.

As far as I know when someone else retweets your original retweet of the competition tweet, the company only sees that you have RTed them. It does not void the original entry and you have both entered.


For that reason I don't mind people doing that to me. However, I tend not to RT other people as sometimes people untweet and RT close to when the competition is closing. In that situation I think the person who Rted from them may lose their entry? What does everyone else think?


There are also some people who will report/block on twitter for retweeting them - so I think the general rule is only to do it to people who have said it's ok!!!
What I do know is people def do not like is people RTing their own copy and paste RTs
