Gas supply number? Help!

I've called British Gas who told me to call someone else who told me to call someone else. The last number I was given is a residential line. I need to find out my gas supply number so Scottish Power can switch me over. Anyone know who to call?

Of course I forgot.. I've been with them since I moved in (March) and they still haven't sent a bill for the gas.
