Strange response to initial appeal

Hi comrades, your advice on the below would be greatly appreciated. For a newbie to the knowbies, please give your wisdom if you can.
I sent the standard text in the newbie section in response to a parking charge from ukpc.
I submitted it online.
I have today received a paper response saying the following:
Thank you for your recent correspondence in relation to the above parking charge.
In order to make a final decision regarding your appeal, please can your provide a copy of your appeal to our Appeals Department within 14 days of the date of this letter. We did not receive an attachment with your web appeal.
Failure to provide this information will give us no alternative than to make our final decision based on the previous information received.
Further correspondence can be sent to our postal address below or alternatively you can send it to appealmoreinfo@ukparkingcontrol.com. Please can you ensure that your parking charge details are attached when sending further correspondence.
The Parking Charge has been on hold whilst under appeal and may be settled in full at the rate of £100.

I've no idea what to reply, what to send, or how. I'm concerned they're tricking me into sending or writing something I shouldn't or they are saying between the lines that I need to send something to get anywhere.
Any advice greatly appreciated. Hayley

Just resend what you sent before but not as an attachment.

Ah ok, I have just realised that the reason I sent it as an attachment is that they're online appeals process does not allow for enough characters to send the reply suggested on here. So I suppose the only way to do it is to post it. They're so naff aren't they.
  • Don't forget to ask for a free certificate of posting from the post office when you send it. Just in case they 'don't receive it'.

Just cut the template from the Newbies thread down; anyone can write their own shorter version, it's simple, just cut some stuff out (it is easy).

Why not just send the whole thing to the email address in the op? You can then C&P the whole appeal and also attach it as an attachment.
