In most secondary schools it is hard to miss CIN and the kids rattle on all week about what they plan to wear. One child....I can understand might forget in the morning- two is just plain daft so they can bear joint responsibility.

"I drive them to school only because most days it's on my way to work, so no big deal."

So on the days you aren't working, why do you still drive them?
  • I did it once with my eldest when she was in primary 3, luckily I live 10 mins from the school, so just popped back with a bag of things!

I wouldn't feel guilty with secondary aged children, they should be more than capable of thinking, remembering and dressingg themselves, if not something's gone wrong somewhere!!

I went to primary school once in school uniform on a non uniform day. Don't worry, I wasn't scarred for life.

I'm a regular poster, but I've adopted a new user name because I really don't want to be recognised.

I suppose I just want to vent how bad I'm feeling...I've had a terrible few weeks, trying to sort out a family crisis, starting a new job amongst quite a lot of other things going on, but probably that's still no excuse for what's happened today!:A

Please tell me I'm not the only one who's done ( or not done) this?!

Please tell me this is a joke, Emma! :D

When I read the first sentence I thought you'd done something terrible! Life changing or very nasty.

Was forgetting non-uniform day worth setting up a new persona?

Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)
  • When I was 11 I went into school and discovered it was half-term! It genuinely never occurred to me to blame my parents for this - I was actually too embarassed to tell them!

Lol. I remember wagging school (bunking off) through the whole of the summer holidays, going to the trouble of hiding my uniform each day.:eek:

  • I've sent my reception child into school with "crazy hair"" for red nose day a day before the event  I did feel bad when i realised but she wasn't traumatised in the slightest :rotfl:

Exactly what I was thinking. I thought it was going to be something really serious.

I agree, was it really worth setting up a new account? There's been a few of these overly dramatic threads lately....distress over lost buttons anyone?!
