Barratt Homes "the media plate"

Options
Hi people,

Ive recently moved into a barratt homes appartment and the service has been great! found that it has been well built and the service on the few snags we have noticed have been put right very quick!

but one issue i have is the hideous media plate in the front room they have installed (all tv points and 4 way socket) the way the drawings were showed the plate in the corner but it is in the centre of the room(I know that things can change since drawings were made). The way we have it the TV has to be in the corner, and right next to the osfa now we have a big TV media plate sticking out like a sore thumb.

Do you think i could refer barratts back to the drawings and get them to move it or not? also has anyone got any good cable hiding solutions if I cant?

Thanks

Ben

Get on the phone to them in the morning.
If no joy take a photo and email to the MD/CEO of Barratts

You can try; they might. As a rule of thumb though you should have checked stuff before you signed for it and asked them to do it before you exchanged/completed.

It is annoying when stuff's in the wrong place, whether that's different/wrong, or not how you'd like it/wrong.
  • Try to be nice. Barratt are not a cowboy outfit and they have the manpower to resolve this for you and are most likely to do so if you don't act like a bull in a china shop.

You are a relatively satisfied customer and I'm sure they'll want to preserve the positive. Good luck.
