Advice required re. getting back money owed by NGP

Afternoon all,
I've had a long running issue with New Generation Parking that I'm at the end of my tether with and hopefully someone will be able to give me advice on what to do next.
Long story short, I parked at a friends apartment and was given an alternative space by the concierge because someone was in my friends allocated space. I ended up getting a parking ticket from NGP despite appeals as I had no actual evidence of being told to park there.
Anyway I just paid my £60 fine as I'd had enough of the hassle and I thought that would be the end of it, however after checking my bank statement it showed that the payment was taken from me 3 times!
This was in July this year, since when I've been phoning NGP once a week asking where my money is. Each time I've been assured that it will be paid within 2 days, and when I asked for a cheque they promised to send it out that day. After 2 weeks when that didn't turn up they said they would send a recorded one out, however after another 3 weeks that hasn't turned up either.
They are obviously a cowboy organisation and I want to escalate this, with legal action if necessary. I was just wondering if anyone had had similar experiences with other parking companies and what the best course of action would be.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!

You may need to go to the Small Claims Court. The first stage in this process is to issue a Letter Before County Court Claim (aka Letter Before Action).
You will find some advice on this process (albeit framed in how to respond to one, but there will be useful links) in the following sticky:

Derek Donovan had success in issuing NGP with his own PCN (Personal Charge Notification), resulting in them coughing up £250. Have a read here:

Have you spoken with your bank about this? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

thanks for the post - yes I spoke to my bank in the first instance and they told me I should speak to the company in question directly. I haven't gone back to them since the whole hassle started though.0

You won't be 'speaking' to NGP. Send them a formal 'PCN' and Letter before Claim (Google it to know what to include). Follow what Derek Donovan did and make sure you claim the entire amount you paid, plus p&p and other expenses. You should not have paid.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I presume you mean paid by card?
Banks always say that. Go back to them, don't let them fob you off. They must refund unauthorised transactions.Je suis Charlie.0
