browneyedbazzi, I was led to believe it was like ebay, and that amazon are responsible for the seller's using their page and believed they would chase up sellers who broke the rules or behaved badly. I now know not to buy anything off there again if I'm not 100% sure it's amazon selling it.
Ebay would also not be liable in this situation. As per the poster above, Amazon and Ebay offer additional protection that is above what they legally have to do.

It's a baby shop in central Berlin, not a manufacturer.
There's also a Malyasian baby goods website called Happy Baby ... and a plethora of others around the world
Haven't yet found a manufacturer with this name.

I posted on here for advice but as with all forums I'm getting snotty comments. To those who have offered genuine advice, thanks.
As one poster has picked me up on saying "cheap and cheerful" compared to lots of prams costing upto £700 it was cheap. I too have tried in vain to find the manufacturer to no avail so it seems she's stuck with a useless pram. Lesson well and truly learnt.0 -
