limited time on electoral role as i have registered for 6 months.

There's a major problem immediately. Lenders will require far longer than 6 months. Why haven't you registered previously?

    I also think you'll struggle getting a mortgage on a £140k house with only a £10k deposit.

I know this is 10 months old now but my wife has the same score as you OP. Only shes been on the electoral roll since 2012. She's not been refused anything yet though as shes not had the need to apply for a loan/mortgage or credit card. Just thought id mention that it seems being on the electoral roll for longer than 6 months really doesn't make any difference.
