Notice of Disassociation? How long does it take to disassociate ?

Equifax, Experien, Call credit

When doing a notice of disassociation with all 3 of them, for somebody joint with you, to break the link then how long does it take for this to happen?

(after you fill in the form, and post it to them)

How long can it take, for them 3 CRAs update and remove the links?

(I know it can be done online too, but how long can it take for them to process it, and remove the links?

How many weeks, months?

  • I know you mentioned posting it to them, but FYI it took Experian three days to do it for me when I applied online.

It should be done within 28 days in theory.

However it's important to remember I've never done it when I say that.

If you have joint accounts still, the NoD won't be able to go through.

    Hi Katesheet,

To apply for a financial disassociation on your Experian report you can complete and submit our online form here

Once you have submitted it you will get a reply (currently within 2 working days) to let you know that we are proceeding with the disassociation, or if we can't the reasons why not.

Once the disassociation has been processed we ask that you allow 7 days for it to complete on your report, although it is usually completed much quicker than this.

    Kind Regards
    Neil
