Christmas TV adverts

I've said it before and I'll say it again: why does anyone waste time watching adverts that are so easily avoided (except at the cinema)? I haven't seen an advert on TV for years.'I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my father. Not screaming and terrified like his passengers.' (Bob Monkhouse).
Sky? Believe in better.
Note: win, draw or lose (not 'loose' - opposite of tight!)0 -
The coke advert is my all time fav! That and the john lewis one from a few years back with the little boy waiting anxiously for Xmas day, and turns out his excitement is so he can give his parents their gift!
My all time least favorite Xmas ad was the little woods one "who put an Xbox under the tree my mother", yes, I was one of those mums that wrote into complain! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

I can never remember which ad is which. What happens in the Sainsburys one?
I like the one with the fairies, which I think might be M&S.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -

I went to see it at Tesco last year and it looked nothing like the actual oneIt was just a red lorry with coke all over it. It wasn't the huge American Style one with lights all up the side or anything. A bit disapointed.
I preferred last year's John Lewis with the animals to the Penguin one.0 -

I'm not sure about the Sainsbury's ad. I thought that it was in poor taste until I saw at the end that the British Legion support it. It just seems a bit disrespectful to me - to use the squalid conditions of First World War soldiers to advertise a supermarket...
Maybe I'm being over sensitive?0 -

Yeah I feel a bit conflicted about the Sainsburys ad, on the one hand are they using the war to flog their products? But then they are raising money for the British Legion with the chocolate bars.0
