As you can see I deleted that post, as I thought it was a bit rude and unnecessary. I'm not asking you to spoon feed me, I am asking you what you meant, yet still you won't clarify.

If you don't get it then you're not one of the people it was intended for...

Maybe you haven't realised that it can be taken two (entirely opposing) ways. Your reluctance to clarify indicates which way you probably meant it, but hey so what.

I can only see one way it can be taken, but, I don't have as many miles on the clock yet. With age comes wisdom and I may yet see the 'entirely opposing' way...wish me luck.

When I was 18 I had an offer to go to London. My friend's dad bought her a flat on the corner of Harley Street and she needed somebody to go with her, live with her, etc. My parents went ballistic, along with the usual strops and usual "if you go you can NEVER come back here again, EVER" threats. So I never went.

Two years later when I suggested I try London for work I was, again, threatened to never darken their doorstep again, along with threats that if I went to London I'd be kidnapped and murdered. "They can spot people like you - they're waiting at the railway stations looking for people who look lost....."

So ... I've never been to London.
