Rechargeable batteries for headphones question

The batteries in my Sennheiser RS120 headphones are GP 600mAh, 1.2v.

They need replaced. Are there better ones to replace them with or do I stick with exactly those?

Nothing at all to stop you replacing them with a higher capacity cell. Personally I've been using 1100mAh AAA rechargables for a while now in everything I have that uses them. The device charger may not run to full charge or take much longer to do so but it won't affect the performance of the headset and may give you more usage time too. :)

As long as they are the same size and 1.2v then any will work. If you can get a higher mAh (eg 900 or 1000mAh) then it will take a bit longer to fully charge but will last longer until it needs recharging.

Thank you, that was the kind of info I was after. I had thought a higher mAh might have been better but I wasn't sure. The headphones sit on a charging stand whilst not in use so the length of time it takes to charge doesn't really matter too much and it would be of more use to me if they lasted longer whilst in use.
