Ricoh SP201N printer help

I have a Ricoh SP201N laser printer. I have a problem with printing anything
The blue power light is flashing to indicate that the print job is processing through to the printer, but the printer doesn't print.
I have tried moving the USB to various ports on the pc to no avail. I know that my toner is virtually out but would this actually stop it from performing the print ( I assumed that it would still print, just get fainter and fainter)
Any help / suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

No doesnt even do that ,just the blue light flashes ...scourge of my life printers the toner is 70 for it and a new printer is about 40...doesnt make sense0

Kind of, when you click on the icon on the bottom right task bar it shows no jobs queing but when you go to properties when you try n print out it shows the jobs I've already put through and has "processing" at the side0
