Maybe because you don't have much credit history?
are you on electoral register?
Have you checked your credit file to see what is on there?:beer:0 -
Very, Isme and Littlewoods are all basically the same company, Shop Direct. So if one was refused, they all will be. They are all pretty easy to get as long as you have no defaults etc. Refusal is usually not being on the electoral roll.0

That's not necessarily true, I've never been able to open a Very account however have opened a Littlewoods account.0 -
I got declined a very account when moving house to a newbuild which wasn't on the electroll at the time. As I had a previous account they override it. They told me thatDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

You could try a catalogue in the JD Williams group. They are generally a bit easier to get than the littlewoods group. However they tend to start people off on £125 - £250 credit limits and then start upping it after a few months so you aren't likely to get enough for a laptop0
