There us also th case they have been saved from making a bad investment.

as to an investment of a speculation Nature I would say an example at auction would be one I had the readies f or and could stand a 100% loss for. Not one I did not have the capital to pay for otherwise as this would see to indicate you are investing above your risk level.
  • Copied from my reply to another MyCSP thread on this Forum (there are quite a few!) - I had various outstanding issues which MyCSP were not actioning. I sent a letter of complaint to MyCSP's CEO N Hurst giving her a deadline of 1 week to sort out the problems, otherwise a formal Stage 1 IDR complaint would be issued with right of appeal to the Pension Ombudsman. I'm pleased to report all issues were sorted out promptly within the week. Complaining directly to MyCSP's CEO is something you may wish to consider.
  • Formal complaint just sent - received auto response

Thank you for contacting MyCSP. To ensure that we deal with all enquiries in a timely manner, emails are prioritised appropriately. If you are writing about an overdue payment or you are within two weeks of retirement, please call us on 0300 123 6666 ( or +44 1903 835902 from overseas). Our Contact Centre operating hours are Monday – Friday 08:30 – 19:00 and Saturday 10:00 – 16:00. This is an auto response, please do not reply to this email

I have already had to wait 20 minutes to get through on two previous occassions about this - I don't think I'll go through that again. I'll wait for their letter/email
  • Sending an email may not work as MyCSP don't appear to read them. I recommend sending a letter using Royal Mail Signed For delivery marked Private to N Hurst, CEO MyCSP, Park Square, Bird Hall Lane, Cheadle, Stockport SK3 0XN. State your complaint clearly and say you want a reply within 1 week else the complaint will be formally issued as a Stage 1 IDR complaint with right of appeal to the Pension Ombudsman.
  • Hi Steve489
Unfortunately you seem to be correct - no response to email - no lump sum. Now in the process of following your advice to write complaint directly to CEO
  • No reply to my email to CEO last week - perhaps she's on holiday

I suppose there's always the extreme option that person did with the scam company in Liverpool. Chain yourself to their front door and see if that gets them moving? :(

    Why email? Easy to ignore?

Why not write, you know with pen and paper, the old fashioned way. Sent recorded delivery and then it cannot be ignored????

I am sure recorded/signed for delivery, not email was the earlier recommendation?
  • Doesn't help. I sent the CEO a letter by recorded delivery to the company's business address on 15/11/14. This was ignored.

So I sent a copy, also recorded delivery, to the CEO at the company's registered address on 18/11/14. Also ignored.

So I phoned to ask where this letter had reached and was told they had sent me an e-mail holding reply. That was a lie. I asked them to resend it and they couldn't. They just drafted a fresh e-mail reply on the spot, stating they would respond to my recorded letter to the CEO by 2/12/14. This deadline has passed and no reply. They make it up as they go along, just to get rid of you.

So I'm afraid to say MyCSP not only ignore e-mails, they also ignore letters now, recorded or otherwise.

Sending a letter is just a more expensive way of being ignored.

Enough correspondents have now reported that most forms of communication with MyCSP get ignored. If you are prepared to hold on the phone for 20 minutes, you might get to speak to someone, but the chances of getting any positive action after that call are slim at best.

Ignoring emails is one, thing, ignoring letters is another- and covered under the rules of what they must do.

Which means you can advance your complaint, and you have yet more proof of their being at fault and if anything it will cinrease any compensation. Sending an email that is ignored doesn't get you the same.
