    Afternoon all,

Raining very heavily heavily here, but not very cold....the dogs are having a wrestling match....onlygoing outside when absolutely necessary!

DD4, DGS2 for dinner by 6 as DSG2 has kickboxing at 7......DS1 will not be in until 7, they will call on way home to have a chat with him. Dinner will be chicken curry with rice and salad.

Washing done and draped around the house to dry, another load to go on, but might leave until tomorrow so that first lot will dry.

Nothing earth-shattering happening here, have a good day everybody

    Hi everyone,

There's still much excitement here about DD's engagement. They've had the ring made up in Sri Lanka - she sent me a photo of the beautiful sapphire she had chosen. We're meeting them at Gatwick tonight - I've bought a balloon to embarrass them.

I've got to take DS to hospital in a little while to have his wisdom tooth out. He's dreading it because they are refusing to give him a general anaesthetic. He, DD and me all have funny nerves in our mouths which means that they are quite difficult to numb, DS had a very painful extraction as a boy before he got his braces so he is very nervous. Fingers crossed he will be ok.

Lyn, I am so pleased that it's good news for Docky. Fwiw, little Mary was totally ga-ga, but still managed to enjoy her life. She would happily cuddle up on the sofa and doze while I did online surveys on the netbook; she loved her food (she was very definitely a three-meals-a-day girl); and occasionally she's literally gallop round the garden - found her "inner puppy" I guess. I hope you quickly find a medication regime that suits Docky, and wish you lots more happy times together. I almost feel like I know the fella, even though I've never actually met him!:D

I was a little disconcerted at reading of people having to stifle yawns when talking to older relatives with a tendency to repeat themselves. One of the effects of lupus is that I often get brainfog, and honestly don't remember if I've told somebody something or not. I guess this adds to my fear of dealing with other people.:(

Still - Jessie Labrador will be here this evening; she doesn't care if I tell her the same thing three times.:rotfl:

Early start to get to work this morning, it was a beautiful sunrise though! Learning a new database at work so that's keeping the brain cells exercised! Spag bol for dinner, sauce already made so just pasta and veg to do when I get in. Some wine that needs using up too :-) Don't think anyone is out tonight so that will be nice. Hope to fit in a walk tomorrow if weather cooperates.
  • It was dry and bright this morning but it is as black as Newgates knocker and raining outside now :(

Went to the zoo for a couple of hours and finally spotted the baby red panda Indigo, which was a real treat because she rarely ventures out of the nest box.

Then shopping in Aldi which was packed :(

Picked up some more advent calendars for the food bank.

    Afternoon everyone

Been reading everyday, must get back to posting. I just seem to run out of time. Ds2 is now in y10 and I seem to spend most evenings acting as a reader and scribe helping with homework. I am now back at college doing a Level 4 course so I have my own homework to do too.

Housework apart from essentials seems to have taken a back seat. I spent half term my mums trying to support her with my stepdad as the cancer and treatment seems to have taken its toll on him. I am travelling back again this weekend as they have an appt on Monday with the consultant so should know more then.

Os today washing put away, dinner to be cooked, kitchen cleaned and a quick whizz round with the Hoover.

Redruby - wishing your mum a speedy recovery.

Sorry my head is a bit mushed at the minute. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.

Don't let it put you off. I love my Auntie and although she has told me the same things over and over again, I'd still rather listen to them than not have her in my life.

If the people you talk to love you like I love my Auntie, they will accept it just as I do.

Tonight I'm tired, had a long day with my Grandson, his Mummy didn't pick him up till quite late so I got him ready for bed for her.

    Looking forward to my bed.

    Sleep well all.

I remember selection boxes when I was little before we emigrated, you can t really get them over here unless you want to pay inflated prices from the "British" lolly (sweet) shops
