they're not called chuggers. It's like calling all kids hoodies, or yobs, or calling all cops pigs.

as soon as the ones in Bury town centre stop physically stopping and/or chasing about me/ my family/ my friends then ill no longer refer to them as that- theyre a blinking nuisance and really smug with it which really theyve no right to be- its not like theyre giving their time for nowt like lots of other people (myself included) do or liek half teh time they actually know what theyre talking about (case in point shelter bloke above). ive also been told incorrect info about mental health issues, learning difficulties and others.

Wel, if that's the case, and they really do chase you /physially stop you / harrass you then take positive action. The laws governing them are on the way, but in the mean time, most of them are governed by the pfra.

So the simple trick is this. If you find that they're actually harrassing you, blocking you, and not just making you think hard about whether or not you can give, then contact the charity and the pfra.

Face to face fundraisers do a great job in getting people who wouldn't normally give to do so. Generally they do a good job of informing people of the issues, but like any job there are those who don't do it well.
