Appealing a Mortgage decline decision

Hi,
Just had the worst day ever. I had what I thought was a good credit rating until noddle got involved. Got accepted for a decision in principle with Halifax to find out today that they use noddle, an additional credit rating company who as far as I can see use out of date info. I have cleared my debts and as far as I'm aware nothing outstanding. Noddle apparently are behind and out of date. Is it possible to get Halifax to reverse it's decision ? Has anyone achieved this?
Many thanks

Realistically no chance of an appeal.
Obtain your credit reports and seek advice from a mortgage broker.0 -
Hello Kazzmaniandevil,
When you say that you have cleared your debt, are you sure that you have no defaults/AP/Late payment markers on your file. If you have, even though you no longer have any debt these could appear on your report for up to 6 years. And would have a definite effect on securing a loan.
From what I have read it is difficult to get these things reversed, but others will be along with more personal options on this situation.
Good luck

Noddle is a trading name of callcredit.
If a potential lender searches callcredit they will see your up to date report (that is the latest up date from each of your creditors). Generally creditors update callcredit, experian and equifax of a monthly update, so at any given time some of the latest balances etc will be a few weeks out of date.
If you use the noddle brand to get a free copy of your credit file, this is only generated once a month, so when you look at this it can appear to be almost 2 months old data on it - but this is just the free access for yourself.
A potential lender - or you if you pay the £2 statutory fee to callcredit - will always see the most up to date information as generated on that day.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi,
I got a mortgage from halifax payed for searches to be done and house valuation we was nearly ready to complete when i a call to say that they would now only lend us the money for the house and not extra for home improvements because my credit rate has gone from a to c . I can only think the reason for this was a late payment which i now have payed the halifax says that i can appeal if i can prove it was a late payment what am asking is it worth doing it do they ever change the decision .
many thanks0
