What is the best foreign currency bank account? I need an account to accept payment in US dollars on a monthly basis.

Define "the best".
You are unlikely to find a free one (or will have to maintain a big balance while getting no interest).
Also, you'll pay for all outgoing payments and for $/£ conversion.
As you can accept $ payments to a £ account, only you can calculated what option is cheaper.0 -
High street banks will advice you to go through their offshore branches - Isle of Man or Jersey.
How much are we talking about here on a monthly basis?
Will you be wanting to spend the money in dollars or exchange into Sterling?0
