Weirdly when I first looked at their website I could have sworn it said 2 pairs in the pack against one but 1 pair against the other.

However when I went back to check again after reading your first post it definately said one pair per pack on all the sizes. Maybe they had some from last year they were getting rid of and I missed it :o

My Dad has a blood disorder, he flew to Florida this year and asked his consultant if he should get some. His advise was to get some crepe bandage, the sports elesticated ones, easier, cheaper.

Aparently there are over 15000 planes in the air at any one time, god knows how many millions of people on planes everyday. I think Ive heard of about 3 people getting this dvt.

I always drink lots of water, take half an aspirin each day, walk during flights, etc. Returning from Florida recently, I got swollen feet, thought they'd settle down but weeks later they didn't. Got carted off to hospital in an ambulance where staff were brilliant. A simple blood test confirmed DVT but a scan showed it was below the knee so no action need be taken (apart from a Heparin injection in the tummy  ).

Hospital staff said: DVT is a killer - prevention is better than cure but - if you suspect you may have it - don't hesitate to get it checked out.

They said they have many DVT cases and there are now lots more DVT cases reported simply because awareness has increased!

Can i just say that you are just as likely to get DVT on a long coach or car journey as you are on a plane.

Its all to do with a lack of movement and the blood circulation.

You dont need to buy flight socks, like ive said a good pair of tight knee length socks or support tights do the trick. I have spoken to many many people including doctors about this. Im not saying dont try to prevent DVT all im saying is you dont have to Buy some rip off socks that Boots or whoever are grosely overpricing. They are taking advantage of peoples fears by calling them "flight socks" they are just TIGHT SOCKS!!!

Also another tip for you, this may sound stupid but aparently it works.
I have lots of passengers who swear by it.......

Take two brown paper bags(like u get from the grocer) and slip your feet inside. I dont know the medical facts for it but aparently it stops your feet from swelling.
My doctor does it! My mum went to the Dominican and did it, she said it was the first time they hadnt swelled!

    Worth a try!

If you are buying from Boots, I think you will find they have - certainly had! - two different types: their own brand with 2 pairs per pack and Scholl with one pair per pack. Oh, and the price was similar, making the Boots about half the price of the Scholl ones per pair, but this is only really relevant if you need more than one pair!

Shame you've just missed a Boots Triple Points weekend.

If you haven't yet found them and still want them, Aldi are doing them for £3.99 from 19th May. Sizes S, M, L, XL which I think is a wider range than I saw in Boots, but don't quote me on that.
