Christmas Calendar for kids

Looking for some inspiration for our Primary 1 class to make their own calendars for our Christmas Fayre. It needs to be one a4 sheet as we have the little calendar stubs to go on the bottom.
We didn't want to do a reindeer hand print calendar as it needs to be something that looks good all year round. Have looked on Internet but can't see anything that appeals.
Anyone help please?

How old are the children - sorry I don't know what Primary 1 is. I'm assuming it is the first year of school, i.e. 5 or 6 year olds.
How about making something else from a hand print? A fish, an octopus, a tree, a person. Will have a think what else I used to make with my 5 year olds.0 -

I think hand print is a good idea but I wondered if anyone has anything a bit more interesting!!
