Really p'd off as we were givern a 2nd chance offer for an exhaust which totalled £75 inc p&p. He emailed us 1st time when we asked when we are likely to receive it and he told us it was sent 4 days earlier and to let him know if it didnt come by the next day, So after it didnt arrive we emailed him and he said he'd see what was going off. So now a week later and after 6 emails asking whats going on he dosn't reply anymore and we have lost £75. Paid througfh paypal so can i get money back?? And how do i sort it out with ebay and what do they do? Am i entitled to inform the police as this surely is obtaining money through deception?? Cheers guys

I've just found out that you can indeed get a full refund if you've not received the item (see my post "Excess postage" where Soolin explains what to do)0

Get your claim in straight away, don't give the seller any more time to respond as he has had long enough.
Has the seller got any recent neutrals or negs that might show that it was a hijacked account? The only reason I ask is that it seems odd to me (but then i'm naturally suspicious) that you got a second chance offer on something unique like an exhaust. I just wondered if this was a scam of some sort, offer the same exhaust to all bidders via second chance offers, then pocket three or four lots of money, clear the paypal account and scarper.
The only thing against my theory is that this is normally done on higher price items like laptops or mobile phones, I'm not sure it would be worth it for a £75 exhaust even if you could sell it three or four times.

No hes only got one neg in the past 12 months and this is just says 'did not return my many emails' but says nothing about not receiving an item. I ve emailed the guy who won it to see if he's received it as he's left feedback? still awaiting response. thanks to all0

Start your chargeback straight away, you can always stop it. It is a lengthy process so the quicker you file a chargeback the better. Also you dont want the seller emptying their payapl account. So if they are still trading the quicker you get things in motion the better, also it might just get them to contact you and problem resolved. Emailling other buyer/ sellers rarely works as they are suspicious or just dont care enough to respond.0

Even more confused now! When i go to my 'items won' page the exhaust is stating it hasnt been paid for, by that i mean its giving me the 'pay now' option?? why is this as its already paid for, doubled checked paypal defo paid for and sellers left me feedback?? CONFUSED0

If you pay for anything via Paypal go through the linbk in the Ebay 'pay now' invoice to make sure that the Ebay system has logged it. If you don't receive it and you have paid via Paypal then it shouldn't be a problem to get the money back if you follow the links on Paypal for not receiving goods. It's a lot of hassle - that's the only problem.0
