water damaged stamps

Has any tried to get an exchange of damaged stamps.?
I dropped a part used booklet of stamps ( had 8 left from a booklet of 12 ) outside last night, and did not find them until this morning - so they got soaked and are unusable ( though still recognisable as unused first class stamps ).
Does anyone know if I took them back to Post Office would they replace them. I am going to try anyway - just wondering if anyone had had any similar experience ?

Obviously unused?
If that's the case, why not just stick them on an envelope when the time comes...
If you can see that they are 'obviously unused', then surely Royal Mail can and you will have no problem using them.
Anyway, I'll offer you £2 for them.0 -

because they are water damaged and although I have what is a complete stamp that fits together , they are not whole ( try putting a piece of paper in a pile of water and see what happens ). And they are still attached to the booklet. Difficult to explain if you havent seen them , but they are unusable in their current state, but you clearly see that they havent been used ( i.e. I havent just steamed them off an envelope )0 -
Well, the only way really to find out is to take them in and see what they say, but it would be nice if you could come back and report whether you were successful or not.0
