Combining postage and Global Shipping Programme

Hi, a buyer won two items and asked me to combine P&P for them both (I'm happy to do this). When I clicked on 'send invoice' which is how I always used to change the P&P in this situation, I get the message:

you can't send invoice for this order
The item(s) will be sent using the Global Shipping Programme. As part of the programme, buyer directly pays international postage and import charges to the third-party delivery provider. The buyer will still be able to complete checkout even if you don't send an invoice.

Help?!

Ah. They're in Italy. I thought I posted to the UK only (that's another discussion...) Is it possible to combine postage in this instance?

The Global shipping service over rides everything unfortunately. A third party will deal with the transaction and you will get a UK address to send both items to.

You could try phoning ebay to see if they have any suggestions

The Global Shipping Programme is an absolute racket, and frankly appears to being mis-sold - the idea that import charges are paid for EU transactions is downright disingenuous.
