60% Chance

Hi

According to the eligibilty tool for credit cards, I have a 60% chance of being accepted for a certain credit card.

Has anyone had success with this percentage?

Thanks

  • I've had success with a 10% and failure with an 80%

Its not a random number generator but it isnt much better
  • I applied anyway and got it :) 0% for 16 months so I can switch around some of my higher interest bits and streamline everything :)

  • Last night the AMEX eligibility tool gave me a 20% chance of getting an Amex Platinum cashback card. I applied last night, and I was instantly accepted for 18 months at 0% plus cash back.

I already have a Santander 123 card with a £2.9K limit and a Halifax Clarity card with a £4k limit, I closed a Natwest Card with a £7K limit approx 3 months ago. I have no outstanding balances on any of my cards. I think the eligibility tool is trying to make a good estimation of what Amex are looking for in a new customer but it isn't foolproof.
