I've been told about ACN (acneuro.co.uk) which sells products which seem poor value such as a £9.90 SIMO contract for a year that only gives you 400 mins, 400 texts and 400mb!

I'm right in saying no to this MLM (Pyramid scheme inspired) thing that wants £390 upfront! Aren't I?

In what way is it MLM?

    I think so.

Pyramid selling is when the pyramid structure itself is being sold without a product. In this case there are products, however, as your point out, they are poor value. And those who are are part of these scheme are only really interested in signing you up to it too.

I've just checked out their "Broadband, TV and Phone Partnership deals". It leads to this, which is Virgin's standard offerings.

A good MSEer would sign up via Quidco, or similar, although there appear to be problem with it at the moment. :rotfl:

I know lol and it's unsustainable as the number of people gullible enough to sign up isn't high enough lol!

And anyway in every pyramid scheme over 80% of people lose out!

It strangely seemed very popular with a certain group of people at the meeting I attended lol! I need to raise awareness of this scam lol!

Well a good MSE would probably just stick with freeview lol :rotfl:

You would sell (poor value and overpriced) products .

However it's a thinly vieled pyramid scheme ( like many MLMs!) as you can't make any money without signing up other people

400 megabytes lol but with a smart phone that would barely last a day never mind a month lol

I have 1GB data with my plan (so 2.5x that 400MB), and I've never come close to using it up. In fact this month I've used less than 150MB and there's only 8 days left until the new allowance kicks in. (I switch to wifi wherever I find it, and only use data when I can't). :)

No need to use wifi- with the security risks of doing so- when I have an unlimited 4G data plan lol!

I only ever use 500Mb in a month, too.

I have trusted wifi at work and at home.
