Wednesday 12 November - what small DFW things will you do today?

Hi everyone,
Thanks for starting us off Ziggy
Twiggy - the money and time saved for mortgage overpayments is astounding. I think I'll have to look into that once I'm debt free too.
Welcome Yorkshire Lass - all are welcome and this thread can certainly help to keep you focussed.
I haven't posted for a couple of days, but have still been chipping away at the small things. Today's list is as follows:
All meals from stores
Found £1 roadkill this morning in exactly the same spot I thought there was a 1p roadkill the other morning, but it was a piece of round cardboard. I though the roadkill gods were having a laugh with me, but they've obviously looked favourably at me today.
Went to sainsbob to get some bread to go with dinner and managed to find a yellow stickered giraffe roll, which I then paid for with my roadkill - does this mean I've technically had a NSD?! Well maybe not, but I did feel a bit smug about my 'free' bread.
Heating is on, but will be switched off within 2 hours (this is my current daily limit), but I'll try for les.
Posted an item sold on eb@y
Several more listings end today and at least 3 will sell. I'm also waiting for payment on 2 others.
Still need to check BB and PCL and really should look at my bank too
Need to have a look at the MSE weekly email
Have been in subscribing from other emails too, I don't think I realised just how many I was getting before I started this exercise.
I need to write a paying in slip for my coins from the sealed pot ready to bank tomorrow, they're not doing any good sat in the corner of the room!
On other news, the old radiator which we removed last week from the hallway and has been in our back yard since, was stolen today. We were going to weigh it in, but it looks like we were beaten to it. We were well aware that this sort of thing happens regularly, so we really should've got on with it. A tad annoying, as any extra money would have been welcomed towards the decorating.SPC # 348 2014-£169.07/2015 - £156.89

A NSD today! Woohoo! Though it has felt a bit poop as I got lost several times and time got away from me! Ah well!
Lunch at home again when I finally got there, so another cheapie! Calorie counted again, three days in a row, might actually loose lbs as well as gain £s!
Finally half way through the week, yay!

I think people are generally referring to money. However last Friday my lodger found a £22 joint of beef outside tesco! Was very nice for Sunday roast and the stir fry on Monday!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,435.00
Total paid off - £10,165.89 (65% paid off)0 -

GettingOrganised - I couldn't believe the difference a relatively smallish overpayment could make! I need to get debt free first and then look into this and check what my overpayment limits are, but I'll definitely be going down the mortgage free wannabe road next!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,435.00
Total paid off - £10,165.89 (65% paid off)0 -
Ha Lilmiss I thought the same thing when I started posting! But yep, seems like it's money that people find in the streets, shop floors etc etc.
A NSD for me again. Feel like I'm back on track!
I did the morning check on my bank account today - nothing different.
B/L from stores then tea at my sister's.
No heating on today as I've not really been in, so that's good. Really pleased we got free installation though, as the house seems much milder.
Done more daydreaming about saving money. I've realised that despite the fact my pay was £200 less this month (salary sacrifice for new car), I'm on track to have £300 left at the end of the month to chuck in the overdraft fund. It's quite amazing really as that would never happen before. And I'm still having a lovely month, including fun things but just giving a bit more thought to spending.
Sweet dreams everyone!0
