Advice for a novice please!

This is my first venture into any kind of forum so please bear with me.

Basically I am not the best in the world with my finances but I have deposited my salary each month into my current account with Northern Rock (North East based bank) for the last 12 years and I have unhappily sat back and accepted charges.

I think it is about time I addressed the issues of charges with NR but I am concerned about them closing my account. So my question is can you open a second account in anticipation or can you move accounts and claim after you have moved.

there is a process to do and the 1st is normally to open a parachute account.you could open a 2nd account with another bank and transfer your wages to that.i did to stop my bank stealing my money.and dont let them put you off cos they will try.stick to your guns.if you go on to martins home page it'll explain it all.a lot of reading but well worth it.good luck
