Make sure you go to the charity shop asap so that you have clothes ready for future interviews. I once swapped shoes with a friend on a bus because she was going to an interview and her shoes were so tatty !!... never did get those shoes back ...lol !!!
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)

    JCP are carp, I'm afraid.

DH injured his spine over a year ago. He has history of back problems, but has worked nontheless, this itme the pain was too intense. He is now awaiting a spinal op ~ which will also be ages, due to waiting lists; he won't be onit until he' sconsidered an emergency, and they await lack of feeling in toes o rbldder for this.

Anyhoo, after SSP, he applied for IB and IS. IS was awarded, along with CTB, school meals, milk tokens etc. Two weeks later it was withdrawn, as IB was awarded for us both. CAB took over, and changed the claim to IB for DH, and IS for me. It's incredibly complicated. CTB was reinstated, despite the initial error of refusing to backdate, as we hadn't supplied info requested, due to their sending the request to the house we lived in 9, yes 9, years ago.

Anyhoo, when called for an interview, shortly after being signed off by the IB Dr for at least a year, DH asked about qualifying to do something else (he was a thatcher), both of us. His advisor knew nothing about education or training, it wan't her department.

He called up and asked about it, an interview was made last week, when he got there, he was greeted by the same person, who still knew nothing.

It's taken around 6 months to reach the stage where we actually know what's coming in and when. You know what, I can see why folk are so reluctant to come off benefits. It's not because they're idle, it's because they're afraid to have to start the process again, if it all goes pear shaped.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

    (((HUGS))) JCD

I was made redundant a couple of months ago and have had to re arrange my sign on time for JSA at least 3 times due to having interviews elsewhere at the same time. The first time I phoned and they didnt make a record of it. The second time I actually went into the office and they still didnt do the paperwork right. The third time I was just going to be a bit late but still got the third degree and made to feel like I was lying even though at all times I have supplied written evidence. I made a written complaint and they backed off.
I hope you do get the job as Im sure you would be more empathetic towards claiments having gone through it yourself.

Good luck and all the best OOPS

joanne, that is really pants news, no wonder you are livid, I am too!

Hope it's all sorted soon and you are not out of pocket for long.

If you haven't already done it, sort out an interview outfit and keep it on a hanger ready to go for next time.

sending you lots of good luck vibes
