BT charging for non-existent 123 Time calls

Have two BT lines, and noticed that 123 calls (at 36p ea) were being charged intermittently.
Was out of the house at the time, and anyway the timing of them was illogical for a domestic user (e.g. 2 calls made within 30 mins of each other - which would only make sense if I had Alzheimers...)
Then read in Which? that this has been reported by a number of people.
Apparently it is down to BT or similar engineers being too lazy to use the correct procedure to run a test call.
Check your bill and ask for a refund if you have these calls charged to you!
p.s. this has been reported previously with TalkTalk, Sky - see post: "Unexplained Speaking clock/Timeline/123 calls on your TalkTalk bill? "

Biased Poll cannot vote for no never on my bill .0

My vote is NO but the Poll appears to be fixed so that I cannot vote.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

I would also like to vote NO but that is mainly because I'm not a BT customer. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
:coffee:0 -
And only one person has voted, who I presume is the OP who set up the poll????"There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
