Possible scam, Tripp win!

  • Quite frankly I don't think that Tripp have taken the compromise of their database seriously enough. The financial transactions may well be outsourced, but customer data has been leaked.

Certainly whoever got hold of the customer data has email addresses and names, which probably means they have home addresses and phone numbers.

Now expect to get further phishing/spam mails and perhaps calls as the data gets sold on.

I have written to Tripp twice in an attempt to get my information off their systems, had a standard response repeating the limited statement on their web site - so far no confirmation that they have removed my customer details.

I never had any advance warning emails from them.

Won't be buying from the Tripp web site any time soon!
