contacting ebay help

hi

i bought some items from the same seller on 6th sept, not received so i opend a case, for some reason which i have no clue why ebay has decided i will not get a refund! i am trying to appeal this disicion but everytime i try to click on the help centre it takes me in a big circle and can actually talk to an online help advisor or appeal it.

if someone has a link that takes me straight to the online advisors or have any other help that would be great.

thanks

How long after purchase did you open a case?
You only have 30 days after the last estimated delivery date to open a case in ebay.

    How did you pay?
If you paid by paypal you may still be able to open a claim via paypal for INR.
If the seller can provide tracking proving delivery then you wont be able to claim.

If an ebay claim was opened and closed a paypal claim would no longer be possible.

Actually, you are probably right , who knows what the rules are now- I am certainly getting confused and am no longer really confident in saying things are X , even where X is firmly stated in the eBay help pages.

  • Thanks for the replies

    They didn't provide tracking
PayPal Inr is taking me back to ebay page to open a case which I cannot do as I have already opened a case
I opened the case after the 30 days as it was from China and the seller kept telling me to hold on abit longer

Oh dear then it looks like you have no way to get your money back.
You only get 30 days to open a case with ebay or alternatively 180 days with paypal, but as soolin said you can only open one case per item.It looks like your seller has strung you on a bit knowing you were out of time with ebay.

Your items may yet turn up, ive recently had an item turn that is about the same time frame as yours.

This is becoming to be a bit of an issue with some Far East sellers- I've almost been caught out myself. They have estimated delivery times or approx 25 days- yet once you exceed that they continually ask you to wait and all the ones I have had to query have sent the same message telling me to go back to them after 56 days _ which is co incidentally 1 day past the claim window on ebay.

I've actually recently gone through a full dispute process on ebay- with the seller telling me continually to wait - and ebay refunded me. I was just within the 60 days to leave feedback- so I left carefully worded negs.

Now a week or so later the sellers have responded to those negs saying that I should have contacted them before leaving a neg as they would have helped me. They also sent me an email telling me that I should have contacted them first- and if I now remove the neg they will refund me (I already have a refund!)

So, my advice is that if you are still within 60 days of purchase leave them a carefully worded neg- as they may try and buy it back off you.
