Portable DAB radio query

I have been looking online for a while and haven't seen the radio that I am after and am now wondering whether it is actually available.
To cut a long story short I am a lorry driver and can't get a clear reception for some radio stations does anyone know where I can buy a DAB radio that I can charge via a USB cable in my lorry rather than batteries. As I say I have been looking but can't find anything.

You can get 12v car chargers for some DAB radios.
An example here.

John Lewis do a nice small DAB radio for £35. I have one.
It gets its power from batteries or a microUSB power socket. It comes supplied with a MicroUsb to USB lead, as well as a USB mains adaptor.
Be ideal for your Lorry, 2year guarantee too.
I'd post you a link but i'm too new to the site to do so.0 -
Judging by the reviews on the John Lewis website it's a radio to be avoided! One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
I use a Pure Highway in my car. Powered by usb or internal batteries. Reception using the batteries is appalling even with an external aerial but, with the USB power, it is pretty much perfect.0

That's fairly bizarre. About the only reason I can think of that working is that the USB lead is somehow acting as an aerial.Gloomendoom wrote: »I use a Pure Highway in my car. Not really, the USB power connection will be grounding the receiver, which allows the external aerial to work correctly. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
That's the one yes, great for the money IMO.
The reviews aren't great you're quite right, but lets face it.. how many people actually review something unless they have problems with it and need to vent.
Mine has been faultless for 18months, as has my mums and the one at my mates.0
