in Credit cards
Hi there, a few months back, someone used my card to make a purchase one from a UK site and one from a US site.
As soon as I knew of this, when I logged into to make a payment to the Credit card issuer, I reported this to them, they sent out the dispute forms I signed for them and they said they would get back to me, they didn't and made their decision without giving any reason and held me liable.
Anyway, I bought the case to FOS the handler is and due to details that someone has used when they placed the order: (my billing address and my mobile phone number, this is used on ALL of my hundreds of online purchases in the past) he is difficult in trying to side with my side.
The parts orderd were some car parts, I have never ordered car parts before, the total had come up to £200, including another order from a US company.
Anyway, I spoke to the case handler and he said he spoke to the UK company they susposedly sent out two orders, one with royal mail and one with the UPS, they it was signed by somebody using my last name but there is no proof of delivery such as electronic signature document to hand.
I only live with my mom and myself and no one has asccess to my computers, or my personal financial details which are always on hand.
The case handler said he will get back to me in a few days and also said If I have any information that may help my case, like what? I didn't place the order, nor do I know what was ordered and nor did I or my mother signed for any goods.
Taking an unbias approach, the uk company have said they sent out two seperate orders with two different couriers, they can't get information on one of them but said one of them was signed using victim's surename, in regards to the proof signature that cannot be sourced so how can I decided against the person who claims he has been a victim of fruad?
Sorry this might make much sense, my main question is how can I convince I haven't made this purchases!!!
