I am using IE9 and want to change the browser. Can anyone recommend the best alternative. I am not very techie minded and would like a browser easy to install and use. I would be very grateful for any help. Thanks.

All browsers are easy to install and use.
Maybe Chrome would suit you - https://www.google.com/chrome/ - it automatically updates itself so you've always got the latest version.0 -
Thanks. I will try that.0

Firefox is best IMO. I use both but Chrome always tends to get my CPU doing overtime !!! I'm suspicious of Google....

I recommend also putting ABP on your Firefox which blocks annoying pop-ups.0 -

Also MVPS hosts file unless you use quidco/topcashback etc (you need to mess too much) also Noscript is a must IMHO.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy

Up until yesterday I was using Google Chrome on my Vista laptop and had been doing so for about two years with hardly a problem. I found IE9 very slow and clunky with Vista.
I say until yesterday as I have just bought a new laptop which has the horrible Windows 8.1. But Chrome runs fine on it now I've set the thing up to run like Vista with the help of ClassicShell."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

I personally prefer Firefox for all the addons that I use. Chrome is also very good for customizing and Opera is usually light and fast. All good browsers though.0
