  • turn everything off (singularly) and see what's spinning the meter.

as a side note , I'm single live in a newish flat (insulated) , no kids etc. and costs have risen using ebico I use about £14 a week on electric . so that's about £70 in 5 weeks

I would imagine with3 people , 3 bedrooms lit up and warmed , and play stations/TVs etc etc you could easily use £40 a week in electric

Check the meters to see what they say.
For the gas, wiith the meter showing your credit press and releasse the red (A) button, with the card out.
It will scroll through two or three screens (depending on the gae of the meter)
For Gas -> Debt -> Index -> For Gas
    (Credit) -> -> (Reading)

Make a note of these screens (if you don't have an index don't worry, your reading will be on another part of the meter)
Back on the 'for gas' screen, press and hold the red button until the screen changes, then let go.
This screen will either have a 00 or 27 in the corner (again, depending on the age of the meter). pressing and releasing the red button will chaneg the screen. Although the order of screens may be different, the number in the corner matches up.
    Look for
27 - GD remaining - if this is not £0.00 the meter thinks you owe a bill
25/26 - WRR Max/Min - how much you are paying back any bill on 27 at per week. (If 27 has a value but 25/26 are £0.00 you won't be paying anything back)
00 - How much your last top up was
01 - how much of your last top up went for debt
02 - how much of your last top up went to pay back emergency credit
03 - how much of your last top up you got for gas
09 - a price per kWh (will probably be £0.00)
10 - another price per kWh (this will have a price)
    17 - standing charge

For the electricity it is a bit easier
The screens all have letters on the side
A - main screen, credit remaining etc
F - Weekly charge (= standing charge + and debt weekly payment)
H - meter reading (for single, and day reading for E7)
I - Price for the above reading
J - meter reading for night (only shows on E7)
K - price for the above reading
S - amount the meter is recovering for a bill
    T - debt weekly payment.

Have a look through these for both meters, take a note of the readings to see how much you are using, then either put them back on here and we can see where it stands, or call in on 0800 048 0303 or 0330 100 0303.
