  • ok don't shout at me you kind people, i think i will have to whisper this one

So OH got a new mobile phone tonight - he is really into his tech gadgets. we are still within contract on our old phones but i was making the bed one day and threw it at the wardrobe and made it beyond repair. hes had it for 2 months like this but more of the glass is chipping of the screen. we did price up to see what would be cheapest and even if we where out of contract and took out a new one with this phone - it would still have been more expensive than purchasing the new phone.

So here is the bad news - phone cost us £300 (to be fair was bought mostly with birthday money):eek::eek:

Also bough a pair of black boots for £30 as mine where leaking very badly

So going to see what I can see around the house to try and make back the £330 that we spent tonight. so lets go through all console games tomorrow that we no longer play and sell, sell, sell. Anyone know where is best for selling PS3 stuff these days??

  • had written a post that was ful of charm and wit and it didn't post!!!

Oh well, so pay day has been and gone for me, OH still to be paid later this week. looking at the debts they did go up slightly over the month, but did expect that to happen.

Lifted out the money for the shopping budget and done a lagre shop, still have £74.50 left in this. i have worked this as £3.10 per day for the reminder of the month - this WILL be doable - got enough food in the house for the next 2/3 weeks so with careful planning we will manage this.

still a few payments to go out for the month, so will update the figures in the sig soon. On a good point all but one of the debts has gone down - this was expected so glad overall its going in the right direction.

  • So over all good day today, no money spent. Enough soup made to do lunches for the next 3 days and 2 days of next week. (Only cost £2.58 for the lot)

One payment has left bank account to b'card 1. The overall balance on this card has increased but debt over all down. :T

Starting debt in Nov 2014 was £29140 and current debt today (although there will be some interest to be added) £28508.19. Overall a reduction of £631.81 :T. Not as much of a reduction as i would have hoped for:eek:, but to be honest over Christmas i did lose a bit of sight of the debt. Back on top of it all now i hope. So roll on pay day on the 20/02/2015.:T

I also need to get selling, have a few electrical items that i can sell, won't make much but every little helps!

Away to take something out of freezer for dinner.:D Proud of myself for remembering!

  • so another no spend day today. No movement on debt front today though.

Well i suppose the fact that I haven't added to the debt is a positive.

Tomorrow looks like it will be a no spend day too, esp if the snow keeps falling, as i'll not be able to get out of the house to spend.

Right away for a nosy and some inspiration from all the lovely people on here.

  • Hi Levi

Thanks for reading, nice to know I'm not alone here on this journey! Well done on starting you journey, started to read your post a few nights ago. Your doing well.

So managed to get out of the house today and to work, looks like it is starting to thaw here.

Won't have a NSD today as need to get some petrol. This is a spend that I budget for though so not too bad.

Stilll need to dig out the extra games consoles and unplayed games to sell. Away for a few days next week so this money will go towards spending money for this trip. Will hopefully be able to keep it low spend though. Will just need money for dinner one night and drinks on 2 nights. So if I moderate my drinking shouldn't be too bad!!!

Nothing else new about here. All quiet. Best get back to work!!
