Hello everyone, hope you can help me with this one.
On 14/10/14 I ordered a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 from scan.co.uk. On 24/10/14 I contacted Scan by phone telling them that I believed there to be a fault with the item and I was not very happy with it. Basically I was not happy with the battery life as it was not as described. I also believed that the lock button did not respond every time I pressed it. I asked to return the item as I was not satisfied and they obliged stating they would send me return details. They sent me an email and I returned it to them shortly after this (3-4 days max).
They confirmed they received it back at their warehouse about a week ago but stated that they would need to test the item to see if it was actually faulty. They emailed me today stating that the item has been tested fully and it's they have tested it to not be faulty! Hmm... They state they now want me to pay a £30 courier collection fee or they have given me the option to have it condition tested to see if resalable if it's an unwanted item.
My question is, I returned this item within 10 days of receiving it because I believe there may have been a fault, I was not satisfied with the battery life I see it as very poor. What are my rights here because they are refusing to give me a refund... a device in excess of £450! :mad:

The legislation you'll need to check out is the Sale Of Goods Act 1979 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (the latter being enacted in June/July 2014)0
