New Printer advice please?

My current HP ink jet all in one printer is fine for everyday home use on paper but I need to print on card (which maybe up to 250/300 gms) and this one certainly wont take it. (leaves black roller marks all over)
I've been having a look round but the information I seek is rarely stated on line and I'm not sure shops would let me test them so I thought I'd ask here for recommendations please.
My priority is good clear colour print with the ability to sometimes cope with A4 card (maybe with a different feed?) Either laser or ink jet will be OK.
Thank you for any information you can offer

Marg patience is a virtue
Look at this as a starter http://www.canon.co.uk/Printers/Inkjet/PIXMA/PIXMA_iP7250/#p-specification4 it states c300gsm (photo paper though) c £57 on amazon
One problem with "thick card" is you tend to have to single feed it.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy

Does your current printer have the facility to adjust the height of the roller ? (probably not , also it could be Dust accumulating on the roller)4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Thank you debitcardmayhem Patience was never my strong suit

There's no provision on my current printer to raise the rollers :-( I'm happy to single feed card through so I'll go & have a look at the one you suggest.

wealdroam - Thank you for replying - It is an HP Photosmart C4480 All in one. (I don't think it's that smart Lol) I can't see a setting for envelopes.0

250-300 gsm is really thick for a printer. Even the highly-expensive Canon photocopier/printer at work would take nothing thicker than 120 gsm (which to be fair is pretty rubbish)!
As debitcardmayhem says, you need to examine the printer specifications Very Carefully. 300 gsm will be outside the spec for most printers, I would think...0
