CP Plus - I have told them I was the driver?

Hi
I have read the sticky but am not sure about this.
I had a legal action pending letter from CP Plus for parking at roadchef strensham services. The 'offence' was 09/06/2014
I ignored it and a 2nd letter until today but when going through paperwork i thought i had better respond.
Stupidly i emailed their email appeals address with what I thought was my mitigating circumstances which I'm guessing indicates I was the driver i.e I had a business meeting, was spending money at the services, have receipts etc...
Can i now send the PCN appeal letter template or have I blown that? I emailed them a few hours ago.
Thanks

Well you do lose out a couple of points, but you do have a second chance to make it right when they give you a Popla code. Hope you've read the newbies thread at the top of this forum**********************************************

Almost certainly you're unlikely to get a POPLA code more than 5 months on from the date of the parking event. You can try if you want, but personally I would just wait to see what their next move might be.
The only letter you need to really respond to is a Letter Before Action (that's not what you've had in the 'legal action pending' letter) or MCOL paperwork from Northampton County Court.
Putting your head above the parapet now will probably signal to them that you are getting worried, making you more 'attractive' to pursue.
Have you complained to the Strensham MSA people? It's never too late, we've seen a number of successful complaints where the OP felt it would likely be 'too late'.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Just re-reading your post - did your mitigating appeal get a formal rejection and POPLA code? If not you should complain to Steve Clark of the BPA - email addy in post #6 of the NEWBIES sticky. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
