I am not very good at maths & am looking for a wee bit of help please.

I have bought this electric stove for my sitting room:

I had an old gas fire removed, but it was too difficult to remove the hearth, so I bought this fire to make the space look better and also to be a back up in case the boiler breaks down.

I am on E.ON Energy Fixed 1 Year v12. It says it has a unit rate of 11.645p per kWh.

Thank you for any help :)

    about 21p per hour.

Assuming you turn on 5 hrs per day. It will be £1 per day.

1850 fan heater full on = 11.645x1.85 per hour = 20.98p per hour.

That would be when it's on -if it's on a thermostat and turns on/off/on/off then it'd be less. Plus the cost of any "pretty lights" in the window.

You can easily work out a cost per hour.

It's an 1850W heater (unusual number), so round it to 2kW for simplicity.

You pay 11.645p per kWh multiply this by 2 and you come out somewhere just under 24p for each hour of use.

It does not appear to have a thermostat, so you will have to manually turn the heat on & off to maintain a reasonable temperature.

Thank you all so much. Not nearly as bad as I expected then. It will only be used occasionally, but at least I know I don't need to worry about the cost now.
